The volunteers of the society are interested in preserving the rich history and cultural heritage of Thurmont and the surrounding areas of northern Frederick County, Maryland. Our volunteer work includes hosting a variety of events open to the public including the Christmas House Tours, local folklore and historical research finds, tours of the historical Creegar House and the Heritage Garden.
We offer these services to foster the connection within the community.
